Ava is a dedicated psychology scholar and researcher graduating Magna Cum Laude with a B.A. in Psychology, complemented by minors in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Studies and Social and Cultural Analysis.
Ava's research experience includes serving as a Research Assistant at NYU’s Social Perception Action and Motivation Lab, where she supported projects on human behavior and motivation through data analysis in R, survey design in Qualtrics, and preparation of academic presentations. She also contributed as an Editorial Board Member for the NYU Integrative Psychology Review, peer-reviewing manuscripts and fostering psychology-related dialogue on campus.
Passionate about mental health advocacy, Ava volunteered with the MYMind Joint Mindfulness Group at the NYU Langone Child Study Center, co-leading mindfulness-based interventions for children with Autism Spectrum Disorders and ADHD alongside their parents. Earlier, she worked as an America Reads Tutor at PS34 in New York City, supporting elementary students with literacy, math, and test preparation, with special focus on those with learning differences.
With a strong foundation in cognitive neuroscience, clinical psychology, and developmental psychology, Ava is committed to combining research, mental health advocacy, and community engagement to advance understanding and support of diverse populations.
