Gold COACH SUBJECT: Science AREA OF EXPERTISE: Physics
Daniel holds a PhD in Physics from the University of Connecticut, where he taught undergraduate physics for six years. He also earned a Master’s in Physics from Brown University, where he taught summer physics classes to middle and high school students. Despite his early struggles with dyslexia, Daniel’s passion for teaching math and physics grew from his personal experience with one-on-one attention, which showed him how transformative individualized support can be.
Daniel has worked with students from a variety of backgrounds and understands that confusion in math and physics often stems from missing a key concept early on. His teaching focuses on identifying and correcting these foundational gaps, helping students quickly go from feeling lost to confident. Daniel views math and physics as interconnected webs of ideas and emphasizes problem-solving strategies that fit each student’s unique learning style. By guiding students to discover the methods that work best for them, Daniel empowers them to gain a personal understanding of the material.
Whether or not students pursue careers in math or science, Daniel believes mastering these subjects builds lifelong problem-solving skills.
