Melvin has worked in education for over a decade, as a teacher, administrator, coach, and data analyst. His expertise is in English with focuses in AP English Literature, AP English Language, and 11th and 12th grade English. He pushes students to rethink what success in their academic and personal lives looks like from an SEL and academic lens, as well as in bridging gaps between where students are and where they want to be.
He is an AP Seminar reader, holds Level 1 and 2 Google educator certifications, and builds and maintains G-Suite systems and structures for multiple organizations including his own school. This provides him a unique way of seeing problems and engaging with students.
