Valentina is a sophomore at Columbia University, majoring in Neuroscience & Behavior with a concentration in Public Health. She has been tutoring her younger brother and schoolmates for over six years and is passionate about health equity and medicine. At school, Valentina is often found in the research lab, studying social and moral cognition or the effects of traumatic brain injuries on Alzheimer’s disease. She’s also active in S-HEAL (Students for Health Education, Access, and Literacy), where she teaches health to high school freshmen.
Valentina brings extensive knowledge in science, math, reading, writing, and fluency in Italian. She excelled in AP Calculus, AP Biology, AP English Language & Literature, and various AP history courses. As an accomplished writer, she enjoys helping students with college applications and research essays, always bringing enthusiasm to her tutoring sessions. She tailors her tutoring to each student’s needs and strives to create a collaborative, intellectual environment where learning thrives.
Outside of academics, Valentina enjoys playing soccer, rock climbing, reading classical literature, and discovering new matcha spots around the city.
