A Ph.D. student in philosophy of religion at Harvard, Haley studies ethics, artificial intelligence, and technology in the modern West. She graduated from Carleton College with a B.A. in religion and a minor in French in 2018, before pursuing her Master’s of Theological Studies (MTS) degree (’23) at Harvard Divinity School where she focused on faith and ethics in science, technology, and society.
During her MTS, she had the privilege of serving as a teaching fellow for the Harvard College course, “Faith and Authenticity: Religion, Existentialism, and the Human Condition,” under the guidance of Professors Courtney and David Lamberth. As a Teaching Fellow, she facilitated class discussions, supported students as they developed paper topics, and graded student work. Her passion for education inspired her to pursue a doctorate, a five-year commitment to research and teaching.
Haley would not be where she is today without excellent mentorship over the years; for that reason, she especially enjoys working with students one-on-one to offer personalized support on their academic journeys.
