With over a decade of experience as a professional tutor, Michael has worked with high school and college students across all levels of mathematics and physics. Known for his clear instruction, patience, and ability to make complex topics accessible, he is a well-loved tutor who helps students build both confidence and deep understanding. He expanded his teaching experience with two summers at Yale Young Global Scholars, where he designed and delivered lectures for the Innovations in Science & Technology track.
While at Columbia, he specialized in differential geometry and has multiple publications in combinatorics. Michael also has a strong interest in linguistics—he is fluent in Russian and is learning Armenian and Greenlandic. He has been tutoring with Thrive since 2021.
